Another challenge for Just Add Ink and another baby! This time for my very good friend, Hilary who welcomed her little boy, Christopher into the world. This week it is a colour challenge and I thought that the colours were perfect for a little for a boy. These are the colours:
Here is the card that I made:
I embossed the image of the giraffe and used a sponge dauber to soften the edges of the punched out image as well as for the edge of the card.

Welcome Baby - Just Add Ink Challenge 77
This weeks challenge for Just Add Ink was a layout challenge. I did struggle with this one challenge and this card is was my second attempt at the layout challenge. The first card that I made I was not happy with at all and then one of my friends, Sarah gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and that was the inspiration that I needed to make this card. I was very chuffed with the end result. Here is the layout challenge:
Here is my card:
I used the free gifts from this months Stampin Up special and stamped the birds on glossy white card and I think that it really works well.

Just Add Ink Challenge 76
Hello,
Another challenge for Just Add Ink this week for which I am a guest designer for the month of July. This week it is a photo challenge, and it was quite a challenge. Here is the photo:
I decided to do a scrap book page using a photo of my Nan (in law), who passed away on June 16. Although I had only known her for a couple of, I believe that we bonded instantly and it wasn't long before I was calling her Nan and felt comfortable doing so. I have always lived a great distance from my grandparents so Nan was the closest thing that I had to a grandparent so her passing hit me quite hard. Here is my page:
I used water colouring, with an aqua pen to create the back ground and some bleach in another aqua pen to create the clouds.
I think that it was good therapy for me to complete this page and I am quite pleased with the result.

Just Add Ink Challenge 75
Hello,
July is the month that I get to be a guest designer on Just Add Ink and what an honour that is! The challenge this week is a colour challenge. Here are the colours:
I wanted to make a thank you card for my mother in law for her help and generosity in setting up the nursery for our baby who is due to arrive in September. I used the Eastern Blooms and Sincere Salutations stamp sets. I also used a technique which I picked up from the swaps from the Stampin Up convention in May, which was using the rock n roll technique with a clear mount block. I was very happy with the end result, hope you like it.
