Inkspirations Challenge #63

Using new goodies from the Autumn-Winter mini I gave the Inkspirations layout challenge a go. I decided to do a scrapbook page using one of my wedding photos as my Wedding Album is a work in progress at the moment so I thought it was a good excuse to get a page done. Here is the layout challenge:

JAI Challenge 61 - Just Add Stamps

Hello All,

It is a gorgeous Saturday here, especially after the rain we had during the week. Our little princess Titten, was none too impressed when it was raining so she was making the most of it today and was soaking up the sun on the deck, one of her favourite places.

I needed to make some cards using the new goodies in the Autumn-Winter Mini, which starts on 1 April. My lovely up line Sharnee and I are holding a launch of the mini and it is always nice to see cards etc made with the new goodies. So I gave the new JAI Challenge a go, I had to think about this one, only stamps, ink and card stock. It was nice to get back to basics and as I drifted of to sleep last night I thought about what I might create. Here is what I came up with:

I have used a new Stampin Up set called Clearly for You, hope you like it.

Inkspirations Colour Challenge

Having enjoyed my first colour challenge so much I thought I would have a crack at theInkspirations. The colours for this challenge are:

I decided to do a scrapbooking page of our super gorgeous god daughter enjoying being outside picking one of her favourite foods, strawberries! This is what I came up with:

JAI Colour Challenge 60

Having caught the online challenge bug, I decided to give the next Just Add Ink Colour Challenge a go. Unfortunatley, I had to make a sympathy card for a male friend and thought that the colours would work well. Here are the colours for the JAI Challenge:

JAI Design Team Submissions

I decided to have a go at submitting some of my creations become a Just Add Ink (JAI) Design Team Member. I didn't think I had a chance of getting the job, but thought that it would be a worthwhile process to get some creative juices flowing. You had to submit a card (new or old) a scrapbooking page or card, created especially for the challenge and a new 3D project that hadn't been seen before. These are my creations:

I didn't get the position to be on the design team but I have been invited to be a guest designer along with some other talented ladies, so I am pretty chuffed with my efforts. Here is a link to the announcement on the JAI site JAI Design Team Announcement

Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge

I decided to give the JAI Sketch Challenge a go, this is my first attempt at an online challenge and I really enjoyed the process. This is the sketch challenge from Just Add Ink:

The Origin of the Wet Chook

Some of you may be wondering where the name "Wet Chook" came from. Our chickens previously belonged to my parents and we adopted them when they moved house. They also had a water tank, which Dad used to give the chickens fresh water, on his way to the chicken pen of a morning, he would turn the tap on, go and feed the chooks and then would promptly forget to turn the tap off. This happened on a number of occassions and as the chicken enclosure was on a hill we got talking about how with all the water running down the hill that the chickens would soon be white water rafting! Colin got to work on some images of the chickens, putting a helmet and life jacket on one and then putting her in a raft. A sign was made for the water tank to remind my Dad to turn the hose off! It worked. So that is how we came up with Wet Chook Productions! Here are the photos that Colin did.

My First Blog

Hello, This is my very first blog so I thought I should introduce myself. I have just turned 34, I live in Launceston Tasmania and got married last year to my darling husband, Colin.

My darling husband Colin.

I am an Independent Stampin' Up Demonstator, so from time to time I will be showing off some of my creations here. This is me on the Athabasca Glacier in Canada, on our 6 week honeymoon:

On our honeymoon we visited the USA - Grand Canyon and New York, Canada - Vancouver, Rockies, Toronto and Nigara Falls and the UK - Scotland and England. We took over 15,000 whilst on our trip. My husband is into photography in a big way and so am I as I discovered whilst we were away. I got a lovely new camera at the end of our trip as Nikon D3100 (we had to buy something duty free, didn't we!) who I have called Nigella. I also have a "point and shoot" Canon G11 called Gavin. Here is a self portrait of us in Bath, England:

We have two cats, Max and Titten and three chickens, Maggie, Gerty and Ginger.

Our lovely boy, Max.

Our special little girl, Titten.
