Scrap & Music Challenge

Hello There,

Being a fan of the Scrap & Music challenges, I try to participate as often as possible.  I had the day to myself today, which is a rare treat these days so got into scrapbooking and used the current challenge at Scrap & Music for inspiration.  The song for this challenge is Don't Worry be Happy, which is a song I really like.  Here is the layout design:

Obviously I decided to use stars instead of love hearts and yes I did cut all of those stars out by hand, but it was worth it in the end!

Thanks for stopping by and may the crafting force be with you.

Sketch N Scrap

Hello There,

I am joining in on another challenge over at Sketch N Scrap.  Here is the layout design:

I used the On Film Framelits to cut out the frame for the photo, I discovered that if I cut a card face size piece of card and used the polaroid style framelit I could create two different size frames and if you use the negative style framelit inside the polaroid one, you can get three different sized polaroid frames!  I also used the chevron pieces from the wooden elements in the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalogue.

Thanks for stopping by and may the crafting force be with you!

Dad's Card

Hello There,

With a card to make for my Dad, I decided to go in search for a challenge for some inspiration and came across two challenges, one at Try Stampin' On Tuesday, which is a layout challenge and one at Shopping Our Stash Weekly of using something Metallic.  Here is the layout design:

And here is my card:

I have used some new products from the Stampin' Up Occasional Catalogue.  I am loving the On Film Framelits, especially when the framelit is inked up before putting it through the Big Shot. I also love, love the Hardwood Background Stamp, definitely a must have.  I have used a stapler to attach the Natural Chevron ribbon and a hardware clip with the "and" sign.  I really love the way that this card has come up.

Thanks for stopping by and may the crafting force be with you!

Perfectly Rustics Challenge No 17

Hello There,

Challenge time again at Perfectly Rustics, can't believe that we are up to number 17.  This week the challenge was to use one colour, neutrals such as white, grey and black were also allowed.  I did two pages, both from our wedding.  It is amazing what can be accomplished with just one colour of stamp pad.   So drag out your favourite colour and give it a work out.

Here are my pages:

The background was created by using one of my favourite stamp sets Gorgeous Grunge, definitely a must have.

Hope you can join in with the challenge this fortnight.  May the crafting force be with you!

Sketch N Scrap Challenge

Hello There,

I have joined in on the Sketch-N-Scrap Challenge, they have some awesome designs over there so it is well worth stopping by.  Here is the layout for the challenge:

Here is my page:

I have been using a vellum a bit recently and love how you can colour on the vellum after stamping it and personalise the stamp even more to fit the colour them of the page.  The Gorgeous Grunge stamp gets another run on this page.  If you don't have this stamp set, it is a must.  To me it is like washi tape, I have to try not to use it on every page or card that I do.

May the crafting force be with you!

Scrap & Music

Hello There,

I used the latest Scrap & Music Challenge to do a page with a couple of photos from our honeymoon.  Whilst doing this challenge I discovered that we have no ABBA music, quite the oversight there!  Here is the layout design and the song was Dancing Queen by ABBA.

Here is my page:

I decided to use my very own handwriting for the title!  I am also loving the wooden elements in the new Stampin' Up! Occasional catalogue, they are awesome to stamp on.

May the crafting force be with you!

The New Edition

Hello There,

We have a new family member!  His name is Denzel, after my favourite actor of course!  He is an Exotic Shorthair (basically a short haired Persian).  He is an early birthday present for me and he is just gorgeous. We got him from a breeder here in Launceston, a lovely lady called Betty.  Here is my Denzel;

Proud mother!

He is fitting in really well here and has allowed Owen to give him cuddles, which is really nice.  He sleeps with me in the bed and is a little purr machine.  I went to sleep last night with him purring in my ear, who needs a sleep white noise sound track to fall asleep to when you have a purring kitten in your ear!

Perfectly Rustics - Challenge 16

Hello There,

Another challenge over at Perfectly Rustics this fortnight and this time it is a layout challenge, designed by the lovely Jayne.  Here is the layout design:

Here is my page:

I turned the layout around and I am quite happy with the way that the page has turned out.  Hope you can join us at Perfectly Rustics this fortnight.
