Birthday Cards

Hello,

I had birthday cards to make for a couple of good friends of mine.  I took inspiration from Claire Daly from one of her technique classes for reverse masking for one of the cards. I wasn't real sure of the card when I was making it, but when I added the sponging in the blue (pool party) and green (lucky limeade) it all came together beautifully.  This is a really simple technique but so effective and no need for embellishments.

Here is my card:

The other card I made was for my friend James.  James has lots of style so I thought he would like some of the houndstooth embossing folder action.  I decided to use the technique of brayering ink onto the embossing folder.  In this instance I have use tangerine tango on the embossing folder and to watercolour the fox.  I really love the Fabulous Phrases set as it provides so many options when adding words to a project.  Who doesn't love the little animals from the Storybook Friends set. I am so pleased with the way that this card has come together.
