Titten Waits for a Bird
You may or may not be familiar with our gorgeous little cat, Titten, who is of course a model. She was originally from Melbourne and I believe it is her life ambition to one day catch a bird, she spends a lot of time on the deck just waiting for a bird. She cannot understand why the little birdies don't want to talk to her. I took some photos of her the other week, waiting by the bird seed bowl outside and on the hand rail. Here they are:
She is yet to catch a bird, but she is very good at catching the little lizards and bringing them inside for me to to catch and return to wild. She is always pleased with herself when she manages to bring one in.
Hello There
Hi
Me again, no I haven't dropped off the face of the planet, sometimes life just gets in the way of blogging, which just doesn't seem right! I have been making some of the challenges but just haven't been able to get them in on time. One the of challenge cards I was please with, but didn't submit was the Just Add Ink, Chocolate Wrapper Challenge. I am not a big lover of chocolate, but my chocolate bar of choice at the moment is a triple choc Mars Bar, I thought the colours were interesting so I gave it a go. Here is my creation (with the chocolate bar in the photo for a comparison).
The chocolate bar is still in tact!
Colin and I are off to the Stampin Up Convention being held in May in Melbourne so we are busy planning and making some 'swaps', which are cards that you create, make in bulk (we are making 50 each) then swap with other. It is a good way of collecting ideas and a great way to met fellow stampers. We are really looking forward to Convention, it will be our first and my upline, Sharneewill be demonstrating at the Convention, we are looking forward to seeing that!

He Stamps and Cooks!
With Colin showing an interest in learning to cook I recently suggested that he should have a go at cooking tea, which he has now done on a couple of occassions. He plans the menu and cooks it, I am always on hand to answer any questions, but I generally just let him do his own thing in the kitchen. On Saturday the menu was Parmasen and Parsley Veal Schnitzels, mashed potato with bacon and roast pumpkin. It was a lovely meal and I am very proud of the effort that Colin puts into his cooking and it is always nice to have a night off from cooking. This is the meal he dished up:
Here is Colin, enjoying the fruits of his labour!
What a fabulous husband!
After that wonderful meal, we headed over to Sharnee's to do some stamping. We had such a great evening, chatting and stamping and we all managed to get projects done, which is always good. Here are Sharnee and I enjoying the night:
And here are all our projects for the evening:
One card that I was particulary pleased with is this card that I made for a good friend of mine.
I used a new stamp set called Nature Walk and my favourite colour at the moment Marina Mist.
Another card I made was for my brother and sister and laws wedding anniversary:
And this is the masterpiece that Colin created:
It was a very productive evening!

Paper Dolls
Every month (for 10 months) I attend a Stampin Night which is run by my Upline and friend Sharnee, which is called Paper Dolls. It is a good way to learn new techniques, play with new goodies, have a chat and make some new creations. We usually get two projects done in the one night. These are the two that we did last week:
Embellish Decorative Trim Challenge
After seeing the card that my friend Sharnee put together for this weeks Embellish Challenge, inspired me to give it a go today. I made a card for my Mum and Dad's upcoming 40th Wedding Anniversary, it is not until June but I have gradually been getting cards done that I need throughout the year and this challenge seemed to fit the bill. The colours are as follows:

Inkspirations Colour Challenge 64
Hello there,
Over the past few days I have been able to do a lot of stamping with friends and my husband! I will endeavour to do more blogs to show the results of these stamping sessions. During a stamping session with my good friend Sharnee and my husband, Colin we all had a go at this weeks Inkspirations Colour Challenge 64. When Colin first told me what the colours were I screwed up my face and said "I guess that is why they call it a challenge" as this weeks colours are certainly not colours I would choose to put together. The colours are:
The colours certainly say autumn so I decided to do a scrapbook page using a couple of photos that Colin took of me fooling around with some autumn leaves in Bath, England when we were on our honeymoon last year. Here is my page:
I used to Big Shot to cut out some leaves and also used the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.
