Hello There,
I have been playing around with my card design for my swap for the Stampin' Up Convention next month! I came up with this card (not my swap) which I though fitted nicely with the Just Add Ink challenge, Just Add a Fun Background. I also wanted to enter a card in the Stampin Up Only challenge for this week which is Anything Sizzix.
I used glossy white card stock and put some Island Indigo, Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder ink from a re-inker directly on the card, I then rubbed it all over using a tissue. I then put it through the Big Shot using the cloud embossing folder and sanded it back to reveal the white card. I cut out the butterflies and stuck them on and put it through the cloud embossing folder again (taking care to match it up).

Our Little Man
Hello There,
It has been quite some time since I have added some photos of Owen on my blog, I know that there are a couple of family members who are probably chomping at the bit for some new photos. So here they are:
This was Owen having some fun in the mud, I have to say that it was no hardship for me to play in the mud as well. After the fun was over it was straight to the shower for the both of us!
We went to an open day at a pig farm up in the North West of Tasmania and Owen got to pat a piglet (above), of course whilst I was in the pen with him I had to have a pat and touch their cute little curly tails.
Me and Owen looking at the ducks at the pig farm.
Enjoying a cuddle with Daddy at the pig farm.
We stopped at a playground in Ulverstone on the way home from the pig farm and Colin got some awesome shots of Owen, this is just one of them.
This photo was taken at Sheffield when we went up to have a look at Mural Fest.
This awesome photo was taken by Colin at the recent Evandale Cat Show. Owen had such a fun time running around the hall looking at all the cats and guinea pigs.

Just Add a new technique
Hello There,
With this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge of trying a technique that you haven't tried before and the supplies on hand to try something new, I decided to partake in this weeks challenge. I have been wanting to try the technique of using alcohol with ink in a spray bottle and bought the supplies a few weeks ago but had not got round to doing anything yet. I needed to make a birthday card for a very dear friend of mine, who just happens to love green.
This is the card that I made:
The background card is Wild Wasabi which I sprayed, scrunched and spritzed (with the Old Olive marker). I used the alcohol mixture to dye the flowers and the doily (I used pear pizzazz ink) and was really impressed with how they came out. I also used the spritzer tool on the doily with the Old Olive marker. I think all the greens tone in beautifully.

New Wood Mount Cases
Hello There,
Just when I was thinking of changing to clear mount stamps because of the ease of storage, Stampin' Up announce that they will be releasing new wood mount storage cases, which are basically the same as the clear mount storage, just a little thicker. Check them out below:
The cases will be just one of the many new products in the new catalogue which will commence on 1 July 2013. Can't wait!

Technique Class
Hello There,
I have finally got my act together this year and have set a date for a Technique Class that I have been wanting to do for some time. It will be in May. My lovely husband, Colin has put together a poster of the information about the class for me to send out, using the My Digital Studio program which is now available from Stampin Up. This is what he put together:
I am really happy with how he put it together. Not sure if digital is my thing yet, but Colin seemed to enjoy putting this poster together for me.

Rubbing Technique
Hello There,
I wanted to utilise the new Sent With Love paper and stamps that is on offer for the current Stampin Up Promotion so I thought I would use one of our wedding photos. I got the layout idea from my good friend Sharnee when she did her page for the Just Add Ink Scrapbooking Challenge for March. I really liked Sharnee's page. Here is my page:
I wanted to add a background to the pool party core'dinations card stock, but my piece was too big to fit the embossing folder and the big shot, so I used the rough side of the cloud embossing folder and used the Stampin Up Sanding System to rub over the paper. I think it has added a lovely soft finish on the pool party card stock. I was most excited when I saw the overall effect.

Just Add Ink Challenge 160
Hello There,
I decided today that I should get myself together and make a birthday card for a friend, so I thought why not partake in a challenge? And that is just what I did. I decided to use the Inspirational Photo Challenge set by Just Add Ink. Here are the photos from which to draw inspiration:

Max
Hello There,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce that our beloved cat, Max, passed away in his sleep yesterday. He was around 13 years old. He was such an individual, as all pets are. He will be very much missed, but never forgotten. He is now buried near is mate Smog, who passed away a few years ago. Max was not the same after Smog passed, I think he missed his old mate, although he would never admit it.

Beautiful Max
Enjoying some knee time with Mum.
Not looking at all gay on a hot pink Barbie couch.
Love you Max, you will always be in our hearts.
